Novel graphene reinforced metal matrix composites for power and electronics industry (GRAMCOM)

GRAMCOM aims at development of novel graphene reinforced metal matrix composites for power and electronics industry, particularly for: electric contacts and heat dissipation elements, with the main objective to enhance the physical properties through synergic using of composite components properties. Specifically, GRAMCOM deals with two groups of material composition: Cu (Cu/W, Cu/W/Re)-graphene and Ag-graphene.

The consortium includes leading groups from materials science, physics, chemistry, mechanical engineering and computer science in Poland: ITME, IMIM, Warsaw University of Technology, Foundry Research Institute and IPPT. The industry involvement in the project is substantial (SIEMENS, TAURON S.A.).
